Wise words from Taylor Swift

I never really paid much attention to Taylor Swift until this last year. I thought she looked like a mole and had a few good, but mostly annoying tunes. However, with her most recent album release and the help of a Taylor obsessed friend, I can now call myself a Taylor fan. I stumbled upon this today. Good words, Tay.

New Years Resolutions

This year, more than ever before, I have been looking forward to the new year. 2012 was downright just an awful year. So many mistakes, so many tears, so many heartaches. Not this year. 2013 is MY year and I will make it amazing. I'm going to take back control of my life. My resolutions for this year?
  • Live in the moment - I have always been really good at worrying about the future and worrying about the past. No more. I am going to chill out and take things one day at a time.
  • Stay connected - One of my biggest regrets of last year was not being a very good friend. I will keep in better touch with friends, especially the long distance ones.
  • Eliminate toxins - Over the last few days, I've come to realize how many toxic things I have in my life that keep me from progressing and keep me from bettering myself. No more. I am getting rid of all those demons. Cutting strings, burning bridges, kicking to the curb.
  • LGN Diet - One day, I hope to be married. When that day happens, I will be inside of a beautiful gown that I will remember for the rest of my life. I desperately want to look amazing in that gown. Not only that, but I also want to look amazing when some sexy piece of awesome removes the dress from me.
  • Better relationship with God - I didn't talk much to God during 2012 and its a mistake that definitely took it's toll. He and I have recently redefined our relationship and I like where it's headed. I hope to dive in even deeper this year.
  • Study more - I am really excited to be a student again, especially since the end is finally in sight. Studying has never actually been the issue with me. Its procrastinating my study sessions. I tend to wait until the night before or the morning of and get all stressed out. No more. Luckily I am on campus until at least 5pm every day. Instead of going straight home, I plan on going to the library after work and focusing on school more.
